My cabin

May 25th is the date. The Kanikapila and Poke Challenge will be held at the

Enmanji Buddhist Temple 1200 Gravenstein Highway South Sebastopol, CA  95472.

Gathering starts at 12 Noon, so come grab a great seat for Kanikapila.

“The Poke Challenge” starts at 1:30 PM.

Contestants will vie for bragging rights! The audience will be the judges and select the Best Poke! There might be some to take home as well! Ask a KHS member for more information.

The Kanikapila continues until 4 PM. Also, desserts, crafts made by our haumana, and a Kalua Pig/Cabbage plate will be available for guests to purchase.

Don’t forget to bring your instruments! Bring your ‘ukulele, bass, guitar, spoons, shoots bring your washboard and harmonica! Sing a song, Hawaiian or not, tell a joke, keep it clean and don’t tell your friends. That way, we’ll have plenty more poke to eat! If you would like to be a judge see a KHS member for more information or the visit the greeting table when you arrive.
